CrossMeet's shared-captions page turns a single CrossMeet host machine into a "caption broadcast":
- The host runs the CrossMeet main app on their laptop
- Up to 20 in-room participants scan a QR code to join the captions page from their phones
- Everyone sees the same live bilingual captions in their browser, in sync with the host's screen
- No app installs, no dependency on the meeting platform
Where this fits
- Cross-border meeting rooms: overseas team visiting on-site, hybrid in-room + remote, each attendee reads captions in their native language
- International conferences & industry events: the speaker presents in one language; multilingual attendees each scan and read in their own language
- Classrooms & bilingual teaching: teacher speaks one language; students follow captions in their native language
- Multilingual product launches: on-site audience scans for live captions in their preferred language

2026 Q3 (estimated July-September). This is a range estimate, not a deadline commitment.
We prefer to label "expected Q3" rather than "July 15 launch" — the former sets a realistic pace, the latter creates an expectation we don't yet have the right to make.

Technical notes
Under the hood, this is a lightweight web view exposed by the CrossMeet main app:
- The main app spins up a local HTTP server (LAN-only)
- Captions push to attendees via SSE / WebSocket
- No cloud upload, no traffic through CrossMeet servers
- Attendees don't need to sign in or hold a license
